i am alone
still as an unusual crime-free night
no shattered glass
bent metal burglar bars
naked thighs on condom-strewn sidewalks
pulverised pelvises

no murmurings of passion echo thru my abdomen
as my endometrium shadows our moon
and expels its unused lining

i am alone
silent as a jam-free day
no horny taxis
begging wrinkled pubescents
oreos in cardboard boxes
closeted dreams turnstiling thru banks of crashing currencies

alone in my hut with only deadlines for company
i hide from viruses
and infectious humiliating white-toothed laughter
as i reconcile my ideally stacked losses with my free radical assets
this is discipline
with others
